AgriPest has developed and markets a range of proven products for reduction of certain pest Tephritid fruit flies of fruit and vegetable crops by a program of Area-Wide Management (AWM). This program is a long-term management system that must be understood and correctly laid out and maintained over an extended period of time to effectively suppress fruit fly populations to a non-damaging level. It is not a ‘quick-fix’ remedy for crops already infested by fruit fly and must be commenced before fruit fly populations are established and causing fruit losses. There are 2 components to an AWM program:

1. Male Annihilation Technique (MAT) - DacLure CL® Stations

2. Protein Bait Spray - DacGel® and DacGel® AA Booster.

DacLure CL is registered in Australia for management of Queensland fruit fly (Bactrocera tryoni) and Lesser Queensland fruit fly (B. neohumeralis) and is a para-pheromone based ‘attract & kill’ station. For more information please review the product label and SDS.

DacGel® fruit fly bait powder when prepared as a foliar spot spray is highly attractive to various fruit fly species and must have an insecticide registered for fruit fly bait sprays added to it to kill fruit flies. This works best when combined with DacGel® AA Booster. Please read all labels and instructions carefully before commencing use of products.
